38th Annual Wimmer Scholarship Competition

If you are looking for academic challenge, Saint Vincent College offers a rounded liberal arts and sciences curriculum that will help you learn to think critically and reason effectively, an Interdisciplinary Writing Program that will build your communication skills for future success, the opportunity to apply for our rigorous Honors Program – and the chance to win one of five full-tuition scholarships during our annual Wimmer Scholarship Examination.

The Wimmer Scholarship Examination, given Saturday, Nov. 17, on the Saint Vincent campus, is a general-knowledge examination open to graduating high school seniors with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and minimum SAT score of 1080 (including ERW and Math sections), a minimum ACT composite score of 21 or a CLT of 66.

By taking the Wimmer Scholarship Examination, you could win a full scholarship to cover the cost of a Saint Vincent education! The 38th Annual Wimmer Scholarship Competition, named for our founder, Archabbot Boniface Wimmer, O.S.B., is your opportunity to win a scholarship that will cover full tuition, room and board for eight semesters – a value worth nearly $184,000! Four winners will receive a full-tuition scholarship for eight semesters, a value of more than $138,000.

You must register to apply by 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, to participate in this year’s Wimmer Examination. Good luck! We look forward to seeing you on campus!
