The Company, Saint Vincent’s student-run theater group, will present its annual spring cabaret performances on Friday, March 31, at 8 p.m., Saturday, April 1, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, April 2, at 2 p.m. in the Robert S. Carey Performing Arts Center at Saint Vincent College. Admission is free, and seating is general admission. The house will open a half-hour before each performance.
The student leaders of the company include John Wojtechko (president), a junior communication major from Crescent; Megan Paullet (vice president), a senior early childhood education major from Vandergrift; Tressa Holodnik (secretary), a junior bioinformatics major from Pittsburgh (15253); Anthony Massetto (treasurer), a sophomore music performance major from Murrysville; and Grace Alverson (public relations), a sophomore communication major from Sewickley.
The 2017 production team includes Anthony Massetto (director); Noelle Patrick (assistant director), a senior biology major from Patton; Anthony Horner (music director), a junior English major from Ligonier; Johannna Philips (assistant music director), a freshman environmental science major from Baden; Maria Fetty (choreographer), a freshman history education major from Pittsburgh (15228); and Tressa Holodnik (assistant choreographer).
The theme of this year’s performance is “In Harmony,” which seeks to emphasize that there is more that unites us than divides us. It will include dance numbers such as “Brotherhood of Man” from How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, “Friend Like Me” from Aladdin, “We Are a Family” from Dreamgirls, and “Freak Flag” from Shrek.
