Saint Vincent College students will host a special event, Sports Friendship Day, on Sunday, March 26, for persons with special needs, intellectual disabilities or physical limitations.
Sports Friendship Day, sponsored by Saint Vincent College Campus Ministry, is designed for children as young as 7 years of age to adults. The special day features light sports activities, arts and crafts, entertainment, a talent show, dinner and Mass. More than 200 Saint Vincent College students will assist each participant throughout the afternoon.
This is the 33rd consecutive year that Saint Vincent will host this special event that is made possible by the generosity of the entire Saint Vincent College community, especially the Saint Vincent College Student Government Association. Hundreds of students donate meals from their meal plan so that the guests and their families can enjoy a picnic style dinner at no cost.
Other groups that will participate include the Service Corps for Exceptional Children, Student Athletic Advisory Committee, Dance Team, Cheerleading squad, Art Club, Swing Dance Club, SVC Radio Club, Gilbert and Sullivan Club, Alley Cats, Women in Business, Education Club and the Festival of Praise Team.
