Five Saint Vincent College Alex G. McKenna School of Business, Economics and Government students will be attending the SAP Small to Medium-size Business (SMB) Innovation Summit at the Caribe Royale All-Suite Hotel and Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, April 18 to 20. The students will have an opportunity to practice writing state-of-the-art apps with a cloud-ready user interface, write and deploy their own add-ons and extensions on the SAP cloud platform, join roundtable discussions with product and sales experts, code their own solution on top of the next generation SAP Business One code base and attend numerous networking receptions. Featured speaker is Edurne Pasaban, an international speaker, businessperson and the first woman to climb all 14 of the world’s 8,000-meter peaks. They will be accompanied by their teacher, Robert A. Markley Jr., left, Carpenter Technology – Latrobe Specialty Metals-sponsored Lecturer in Business Administration. Attending the conference will be, continuing from left, Conierose Barnes, a junior management major from South Korea; Travis Provance, a junior management major from Greensburg; Joan Smith, a senior management major from Summerhill; and Garrett Virostek, a junior marketing major from Ford City. Missing from photo is Paige Casario, a senior international business major from Jeannette; Saint Vincent continues to report success for its graduates in the SAP Business One program. Seven spring graduates have accepted full-time jobs with SAP Business One partners including two each at MWA in Arizona, StellarOne in California and Navigator in Utah and one at ThirdWave in New Jersey. Fourteen students have taken internships with SAP Business One partners and customers at MWA in Arizona, Pittsburgh, London, Texas, Georgia, California and New Jersey.
