Dr. Thomas W. Cline, consumer psychologist and professor of marketing and statistics at the Saint Vincent College Alex G. McKenna School of Business, Economics and Government, co-authored four articles in the April/June 2018 edition of the journal, Critical Care Nursing Quarterly.
The manuscripts involved clinical trials aimed at increasing patient satisfaction and reducing anxiety in a variety of contexts, including post-cardiac surgery and cancer patients.
The articles included “The Effects of Multimethod Intervention on Bedside Compliance and Patient Satisfaction,” co-authored with Drs. Daniel A. Faloon and Holly Hampe of Robert Morris University; “Stress Reduction in Postcardiac Surgery Family Members: Implementation of a Postcardiac Surgery Tool Kit,” co-authored with Dr. Lauren Breisinger of UPMC and Dr. Angela Macci Bires of Robert Morris; “An Assessment of an Outpatient Antimicrobial Therapy Program in a Rural Medical Center,” co-authored with Dr. Matthew Burkett of the Green Tree Medical Center, Dr. Angela Macci Bires of Robert Morris and Dr. Anthony Knight of the University of Iowa; and “Evaluation of an Educational Video: What to Expect Your First Day of Chemotherapy,” co-authored with Dr. Tiffany Koss of Allegheny Health Network, Dr. Angela Macci Bires of Robert Morris and Donna Lee Mason of Robert Morris.
