In its 2019 Ranking of Colleges and Universities, the personal finance website WalletHub has ranked Saint Vincent as one of the top institutions in Pennsylvania.

Saint Vincent was ranked 11th out of 62 colleges overall in Pennsylvania, and third among schools in the western portion of the state, including both private and public institutions. Saint Vincent scored exceptionally well in campus experience, ranking in the 96th percentile nationally, while it also ranked in the top quartile in both faculty resources and educational outcomes.

“We are pleased that WalletHub has recognized the efforts of Saint Vincent College to make a high-quality Catholic, Benedictine education affordable, while offering a challenging academic environment to our students,” said President Br. Norman Hipps, O.S.B., Ph.D.  “We are also gratified to rank in the top four percent nationally in terms of campus experience, while scoring highly in faculty resources and educational outcomes.”

Along with campus experience, faculty resources and educational outcomes, the WalletHub rankings also take into account factors including student selectivity, cost and financing and career outcomes.

In addition to being ranked 11th in the state, SVC was also tabbed 61st out of 220 schools in the North region, and 180th nationally, which placed the College in the 81st percentile.

WalletHub’s annual college rankings are aimed at determining the top-performing schools at the lowest possible costs to undergraduates, using such metrics as student-faculty ratio, graduation rate, and post-attendance salary. A total of 951 colleges and universities from across the United States were considered.

Aside from earning high marks from WalletHub, Saint Vincent has also recently received recognition from U.S. News & World Report, which ranked SVC in the top tier of National Liberal Arts Colleges, and College Factual, which named SVC the Best College for the Money in Pennsylvania.
