SVC Plans Fred Rogers Planetarium Show, Crafts for Children March 18

A special planetarium show featuring the Sky Above Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood followed by small crafts and games for children by the Fred Rogers Scholars will be presented at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 18, at the Angelo J. Taiani Planetarium and Astronaut Exhibit in the Sis and Herman Dupré Science Pavilion at Saint Vincent College.

Saint Vincent Gallery Plans Senior Exhibit I

The Saint Vincent Gallery will present the first of two exhibitions this spring featuring the work of four senior art majors. Student Exhibition I, from Friday, March 3 to Sunday, March 26, opens with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 2, and will show the work of Michael Capozzoli, a graphic design major from Bel Air, Maryland; Anthony Dascani, a studio art major from Connellsville; Gina McKlveen, an English major from Stahlstown; and Rachel Wheeler, a studio art major from Oil City.

Saint Vincent College will once again offer its popular Challenge program, a STEM-based academic summer program for students from kindergarten to grade 12 featuring a Legends and Tales theme in programs, housing and activities for children entering grades 5 to 12, a Knights’ Kingdom day program for students entering grades K to 4 and The Hubbard’s Cove Preschool Program for children 3 and 4 years old. This program is appropriate for any student who finds this program interesting.
