Registration for Grandparents University
The Grandparents University® program is solely funded by the registration fees paid by its participants. Rates are set based on actual costs of conducting the event: including food, lodging, transportation, and other program items.
registration will be available both online and through the mail. Registration materials can be viewed and printed online and mailed to the college. Special accommodations can be made for those who are unable to access the online options. Once the initial registration and payment is secured, the participant’s spot will be reserved. The participants will then receive information about their classes, as well as release forms, waivers, and emergency contact information. This will ensure we are able to efficiently register all applicants.
Paid Registration will include:
- 5 special Grandparents University® classes taught by Saint Vincent College faculty/staff and class materials
- One night lodging in SVC residence halls
- Unique evening programming and campus activities
- 4 Meals on campus. These include the Welcome Bearcat Picnic, breakfast, lunch in the campus café and the Graduation Lunch
- An opportunity to create fun filled memories that will last a lifetime!
There are a maximum number of participants that can be accommodated for this program. Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Once we have reached our capacity, we will close registration and establish a waiting list.

2017 Program Rates:
Children attending Grandparents University® must be accompanied by an adult at all times. No more than two children can be accompanied by one adult. If two children attend with one adult, they must all attend the same classes. If two children attend with two adults, each adult/child pair may attend a different class. Similarly, no more than two adults may accompany one child. If you have multiple adults and children participating, please use the notes field during registration to make it clear which grouping of family members will be attending each set of classes.
Required Contact Information
There are several pieces of information needed for registration and we strongly encourage you to obtain this prior to starting registration. In addition to names and contact information for those attending, you will also need the names, email, phone and mailing address of the child's parent or legal guardian. You'll also need the age of the child (at the time of Grandparents University® 2017) and t-shirt sizes for all participants. Once you're registered, each participant must sign and complete several release forms, which will be sent to attendees after registration.
You must cancel your registration by, no later than 5:00 pm on May 1, 2017 for a full refund minus a $50 administrative fee. We will be unable to issue any refunds after this date since we will have already incurred a majority of the costs for Grandparents University®. As a self-funded program, we cannot use the college’s money, and therefore refunds are not possible after the date noted above. Please consider this carefully when registering.
