Saint Vincent College Singers will present a Valentine concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16 in the atrium of the Sis and Herman Dupré Science Pavilion at Saint Vincent. Admission is free and open to the public.
The group will be performing Star Spangled Banner, The Argument by Pittsburgh Composer Francis J. Nesta, Love is Here to Stay by George and Ira Gershwin, You Stole my Love by Walter Cecil Macfarren, Wedding Cantata by Daniel Pinkham, The Silver Swan by Orlando Gibbons, and Walk Together Children by Anthony Leach, a professor of music at Penn State College.
Saint Vincent College Singers is a student group that includes Chantal Braziel, Mary Kathleen Cassidy, Casey Ciocco, Marla Crawford, Rona Gehring, Josh Gongaware, Aaron Gray, Edward S. Graybill, Stuart Hall, Shelby Hebenthal, Julia Hlavacik, Sarah Jara, Javier Ferrer, Jillian Kegg, Alison Kertz, Kara Laus, Ali Mientus, Ethan Noonan, Kathryn Ordiway, Molly Ouchis, Alex Policicchio, Megan Samoriski, Catherine Schratz, Rebecca Skirpan, Mandy Slowey, Brandon Snyder, Stephen Stanton, Abigail Sugrue, Robert Tokarski, Hannah Truong, Michael Villavicencio, Jonathan White, Patrick Wilkinson, Hannah Wojtowicz and Fr. Jean-Luc Zadroga, O.S.B.
Two other ensembles will be joining the Singers in their performance. The Bearbones, Saint Vincent College’s trombone quartet, will be playing several pieces. Members of this quartet are Joe Carroll, Mark Harris, Noah Hemminger and their instructor, Richard Auman. The Violin Quartet will be performing Mozart’s Symphony No. 1 K.16 I. Allegro. The members of this group are Aubrey Saloka, Mary Vanden Berk, Lauren Harbaugh, Dominick Dilucente, Andrew Debroeck, Elizabeth Miller and their instructor, Dawn Posey.
