Admission Criteria, Requirements, and How to Apply

If you are applying to Saint Vincent College as a transfer student, your academic achievement and personal history at the post-secondary schools you've attended will be of primary importance to us. Competitive transfer students are likely to present credentials of a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher in college-level coursework. However, we'll also need to receive your high school record as background information for academic counseling.

To be considered for admission to Saint Vincent College, submit the following:

  • Completed application for admission - Apply Online (Common App is not accepted for transfer students)
  • Final official high school transcript
    High school transcripts may be emailed from the high school to admission@stvincent.edu or faxed to 724-805-2507.
  • Official transcripts from all colleges. Please request that these be electronically sent to Saint Vincent College at admission@stvincent.edu.
  • Completed Dean of Students Reference Form from the most recent institution attended
    You should send your request to your current college dean for completion through the online application or download, fill out, and upload the form yourself.

 

Transfer Credit Review

While you earn a diploma distinctive to Saint Vincent, we also want your previous college courses to count toward your degree. Courses in which you’ve earned a C or better are likely to transfer to SVC. Follow the link to learn about transferable credits.
