LATROBE, PA – Fifty-one Saint Vincent College students participated in the 46th annual March for Life on Friday, Jan. 18, on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
Organized by the Respect Life Club and accompanied by Saint Vincent director of Campus Ministry Fr. Killian Loch, O.S.B. the Saint Vincent contingent was among tens of thousands who braved wintry conditions to take part in the event, which began with a noon rally and was followed by a march from the Mall to the Capitol and Supreme Court. The SVC group also had a chance to meet with Bishop Edward C. Malesic of the Greensburg Roman Catholic Diocese.
The March for Life is an annual event held around the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe vs. Wade decision that overturned all state laws against abortion.
