Boyer School Graduates Accepted into Graduate Programs

Boyer School Graduate Program Acceptances

LATROBE, Pennsylvania – The Saint Vincent College Herbert W. Boyer School of Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Computing has announced that eight of its seniors have been accepted and will pursue graduate degrees at prestigious schools across the country following their May 11 graduation from Saint Vincent.

The students include:

  • Mitchell Bredice, physics major from Jeannette, who will attend the University of Connecticut to pursue a Ph.D. in physics.
  • Anna Coletti, mathematics major from Asheville, North Carolina, who will attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to pursue a Ph.D. in mathematics.
  • Sarah Malone, engineering science major from Gibsonia, who will attend Columbia University to pursue a Master of Fine Arts in writing.
  • Caitlynd Pietrusza, engineering science major from North Huntingdon, who will attend Carnegie Mellon University to pursue a Master of Science in environmental engineering.
  • Floyd Nichols, biology major from Verona, who will attend Northwestern University to pursue a Ph.D. in earth and planetary science.
  • Allison O’Rourke, biochemistry major from Springfield, Virginia, who will attend George Mason University to pursue a Master of Public Health degree.
  • Jessica Packard, biology major from Pittsburgh (15202), who will attend Duquesne University’s biological sciences Ph.D. program.
  • Chelsea Sarring, biochemistry major from Delmont, who will attend Penn State University to pursue a Ph.D. in biochemistry, microbiology and molecular biology.
