SVC Ranked Among Top 10 PA Colleges in 19 Degree Programs

LATROBE, PA – Saint Vincent College is ranked among the top 10 colleges in Pennsylvania in four graduate degree programs and 15 undergraduate degree programs for the 2023-24 academic year, according to College Raptor, an online college planning tool.

Among undergraduate programs, the education (physics teacher) program ranks No. 1 in Pennsylvania and No. 4 nationally. Data science (bioinformatics) is rated No. 1 in the state and No. 10 nationally. Finance and mathematics is ranked No. 1 in the state and No. 15 nationally. Theology is ranked No. 1 in the state and No. 16 nationally.

Among graduate programs,  management: operational excellence is ranked No. 1 in the state and No. 20 nationally.

Other top-10-rated SVC undergraduate programs are philosophy (No. 2 in the state, No. 6 nationally); education (psychology) (No. 2 in the state, No. 4 nationally); criminology (No. 2 in the state, No. 25 nationally); natural sciences (No. 2 in the state, No. 19 nationally);  environmental science (No. 3 in the state, No. 71 nationally); digital arts and media (No. 3 in the state, No. 27 nationally); engineering (No. 5 in the state, No. 31 nationally); cybersecurity (No. 6 in the state, No. 67 nationally); art education (No. 8 in the state, No. 80 nationally); business economics (No. 8, No. 75 nationally); and health science (No. 10 in the state, No. 108 nationally).

SVC’s other top-10-ranked graduate programs are criminology (No. 2 in the state, No. 14 nationally); curriculum and instruction (No. 2 in the state, No. 23 nationally); and counselor education (No. 5 in the state, No. 75 nationally).

Overall, Saint Vincent College is ranked 23rd among colleges in Pennsylvania and No. 205 in the United States.

College Raptors’ rankings are based on a database of publicly available data from a variety of sources. Rankings are computed via a specific and proprietary methodology. Factors used to compile the rankings include median SAT/ACT scores for incoming freshmen, student-to-faculty ratio, selectivity index, four-year graduation rate and endowment per student.
