LATROBE, PA – Saint Vincent College will hold a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 18 in the lounge at the Robert S. Carey Student Center on campus.
Saint Vincent Basilica Parish will host a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Grove.
Blood is a perishable product that can only come from volunteer blood donors. Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs a blood transfusion. In January 2024, with donation levels at their lowest point in the past 20 years, the American Red Cross declared a national blood shortage emergency.
Walk-ins are welcome for the College blood drive at the Carey Center.
Appointments for the drive sponsored by the Saint Vincent Basilica Parish can be scheduled online at https://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/drive-results?zipSponsor=SVPG. Walk-ins are welcome, but donors with appointments will be given priority. All donors will receive a $15 electronic gift card.
The Saint Vincent Basilica Parish also has scheduled blood drives for Nov. 14 and Jan. 23, 2025. Both of those drives will run from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Grove.
