  • About Martha Fusco

I have been passionate about accounting since I was in the sixth grade. I attended Duquesne University where I concentrated my BSBA in accounting. I am currently pursuing my PhD Business with a concentration in accounting and a minor in finance. I am currently in the early phase of my dissertation topic selection and my intent is to focus on the changes that big data and data analytics are creating in the field of accounting and auditing.

The first 8 years of my career were spent in public accounting serving in the audit practice of Deloitte in Pittsburgh, PA. I then spent 15 years at Kennametal Inc. in Latrobe, PA. I held various positions at Kennametal including VP Finance and Corporate Controller, Interim CFO, and VP Finance Industrial Business Segment. I bring a mix of both public experience and corporate experience to the classroom. This broad accounting experience serves our students well through real life examples in the classroom.

In 2019, I was called to serve God and my community through teaching and shifted my career focus to education. My strong desire to serve Christ through serving others fuels my enthusiasm for teaching every day. I am personally and professionally blessed to be part of the St. Vincent Community.

I am a certified public accountant in the state of Pennsylvania. I am also a member of the PICPA, AICPA and American Accounting Association.
