First-Year Experience

We set you up for success with an orientation that runs for a full six weeks. Enjoy a variety of social events, ample academic support, and guidance from upperclassmen mentors to help you quickly feel at home on campus.

Campus Ministry

Campus ministry welcomes all students, regardless of religious affiliation, to deepen their faith and their relationships with each other through social events, Bible studies, service trips, retreats, and Mass. Our campus ministers are available for personal guidance whenever you need support. Whether you're looking to explore your faith, make new friends, or find a sense of community, campus ministry has something for everyone.

    We prioritize your health with comprehensive medical and wellness services. You can stay active at our Carey Fitness Center and enjoy stress relief during finals week with therapy dogs and ponies.

    CARE Team

    Unique to Saint Vincent, the CARE Team meets regularly to support students facing challenges like depression or anxiety. They review concerns from students and faculty, creating personalized strategies to ensure no student is overlooked.

    Campus Food Assistance

    The Office of Global & Community Engagement supports a confidential program that provides food and supplies for any Saint Vincent student who expresses a need including emergency food boxes, SNAP Application Assistance, a Micro Pantry, and a monthly Mobile Market. Additionally, The Help Yourshelf program at Saint Vincent College provides nutritious snacks, small meals, and groceries to commuter students to address food insecurity.

Discover all the city of Pittsburgh has to offer, including museums, cultural performances, and professional sporting events. Explore the Laurel Highlands' many local state parks or ski the slopes at several nearby resorts. Enjoy visiting the quaint shops and parks in the charming town of Latrobe.

Student Support Services

Student Affairs: The Office of Student Affairs is dedicated to supporting student well-being and success by providing resources and fostering an inclusive environment on campus. This is your go-to spot for student assistance on campus.

Residence Life: The Office of Residence Life creates a safe, supportive, and engaging living environment, manages housing logistics and conflicts, and fosters community through programs and events across Saint Vincent College's five residence halls.

Student Conduct: The Office of Student Conduct, located in the Dean of Students Office, addresses and resolves behavioral issues, upholds the College's conduct expectations, and assists in conflict resolution to maintain a positive community at Saint Vincent College.

Campus Life: The Campus Life Office is responsible for facilitating our Student Government Association and our award-winning Activities Programming Board and planning and hosting events on campus.

Multicultural Student Life: The Office of Multicultural Student Life helps students adjust to life at Saint Vincent by fostering understanding, respect, and appreciation for diverse perspectives through supportive programming and partnerships.

Commuter Affairs: Our dedicated staff is available to assist commuter students. They provide monthly newsletters, an active Instagram and Facebook page, a commuter lounge, and activities for connecting students.

Career and Professional Development Center:  The Career and Professional Development Center (CPDC) guides students through their college experience, helping them form career goals, teaching professional development skills, and offering practical experience by partnering with employers in our community.

Community and Global Engagement: The Office of Community and Global Engagement helps others in our community through various service opportunities. From soup kitchens to Christmas charities, we offer many ways to give back and stay connected to Latrobe, making a positive impact year-round.

Academic Student Support and Resources: At Saint Vincent, students receive personalized academic support through faculty advisors, academic coaches, career counseling, and resources like the Writing Center and Collaborative Learning Program.
