Campus Food Assistance:

Student hunger or college food insecurity can be detrimental to a student's physical and mental health, academic performance, and social life on campus.  The Office of Global & Community Engagement supports a confidential program that provides food and supplies for any Saint Vincent student who expresses a need. Including, but not limited to emergency food boxes.

  • SNAP Application Assistance Some domestic SVC students may be eligible for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) assistance. SNAP is a federal program that provides nutrition benefits to low-income individuals and families, which can be used at stores to purchase food. Our office helps students navigate the application process effectively and efficiently, ensuring that every eligible student can receive these helpful benefits if needed.
  • Micro Pantry Our mini pantry is stocked with snack foods, grab-and-go or microwaveable meals, and pantry staples. Take what you need and leave what you can. It's located on the 2nd floor Headmaster’s hallway.
  • Mobile Market Once a month, this farmer's market on wheels brings healthy resources to our college campus. The market provides fresh fruits, vegetables, and other foods to SVC students at no cost. No proof of eligibility is required, and food is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Mobile Market is a partnership between SVC OGCE and the Westmoreland County Food Bank.
