Campus Technology

The Saint Vincent College IT Department provides a wide range of systems, services, and support to all students, faculty, and staff on a year-round basis.  The IT Department and its Service (Help) Desk are located in Alfred Hall on the ground floor and in the Library.  The IT Service Desk is open from 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday.  The IT Service Desk is supported by professional IT staff and student workers.  They are committed to serving the needs of all users and will provide training, consultation, and support on most hardware and software.

For technical support, please submit requests to servicedesk@stvincent.edu.  Support requests can also be submitted in person at the IT Service Desk or by phone at 724-805-2297.

Support for network-related technology issues in the Residence Halls is provided by a 3rd party Internet Service Provider called Apogee.  Issues can be reported to Apogee 24hours a day, 7 days a week.  To contact Apogee for support, go to stvincent.apogee.us or call 1-855-643-2152.

Personal Computer Support Policy

The IT Service Desk provides support for student, faculty, and staff-owned computers free of charge on a "best-effort" basis for services, such as virus removal, computer optimization, hardware diagnostics/repair, etc.  Users wishing to utilize this service must bring their computer to the IT Service Desk and complete a liability waiver. Turnaround time on personal computer support cases is usually 2-4 business days; however, increased demand or complex problems can extend the amount of time required to complete repairs.
