Sixteen Inducted into Pi Mu Epsilon

LATROBE, PA – Sixteen Saint Vincent College students have earned induction into Pi Mu Epsilon, the national mathematics honor society.

To be eligible for induction, undergraduate students must have completed at least two semesters of calculus and two additional courses in mathematics at or above the calculus level, all of which lead to the fulfillment of the requirements for a major in mathematics. In addition, these students must have maintained a strong grade point average, both for all courses that lead to fulfillment of requirements for a major in mathematical sciences and for all courses that lead to the fulfillment of requirements for an undergraduate degree.

The newest inductees into Saint Vincent College’s Pennsylvania Alpha Zeta chapter of Pi Mu Epsilon include:

  • Maria E. Arcara, junior computer science and mathematics double major from Greensburg.
  • Dominik M. Bayne, junior finance and mathematics major from New Kensington.
  • Taylor P. Berardi, senior mathematics major and secondary education minor from Altoona.
  • Stephanie A. Cribbs, senior mathematics major from Irwin.
  • Nolan G. Fraicola, sophomore mathematics major from Greensburg.
  • Sydney M. Gurneal, junior mathematics major from Pulaski.
  • Kristyan A. Hahn, junior mathematics major and secondary education minor from Edgewood, Maryland.
  • Olivia R. Lewis, senior mathematics major from Derry.
  • Spencer O. McKee, junior finance major from Blairsville.
  • Kyle A. Persin, junior finance and mathematics major from Greensburg.
  • Wade Rashilla, junior finance and mathematics major from Ligonier.
  • George F. Reich, senior mathematics major from Columbia, Pennsylvania.
  • Jessica R. Smith, junior mathematics major and secondary education minor from Portage.
  • Lindsey A. Southworth, senior mathematics major from Altoona.
  • Jeremiah M. Stickles, senior computer science and mathematics double major from Bellefonte.
  • John T. Yester, senior mathematics major and secondary education minor from Mount Pleasant.

Saint Vincent College’s Pennsylvania Alpha Zeta chapter of Pi Mu Epsilon was established in 2017. Dr. Daniele Arcara, professor of mathematics, serves as adviser.
