53 Bearcats inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma honor society

LATROBE, PA – On Sunday, April 30, 53 Saint Vincent College student-athletes were inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, the national scholar-athlete society to honor student-athletes who excelled in both the classroom and in athletic competition.

The Bearcat student-athletes were inducted in a ceremony held at the Fred M. Rogers Center.

Chi Alpha Sigma recognizes undergraduate college student-athletes who participate in a sport at the varsity level, achieve junior academic standing or higher after their fifth full-time semester, and hold a 3.4 or higher cumulative grade point average.

The 2023 Saint Vincent College inductees included:

Chi Alpha Sigma was founded in 1996 by then DePauw University football coach Nick Mourouzis. Chi Alpha Sigma continues to provide outstanding student-athletes with an opportunity to become connected within a fraternal association that aligns their educational and athletic successes for a lifetime.

There are more than 317 Chi Alpha Sigma chapters across the country, including institutions of all three NCAA classifications, as well as the NAIA, National Christian College Athletic Association and the United States Collegiate Athletic Association.
